The brief & challenge

K8 required a visual and interaction refresh without a full rebuild. Objectives: increase add-to-cart rate, reduce checkout abandonment, and modernise the brand expression across product listings and mobile.

  • Legacy templates with heavy content and poor prioritisation.
  • Slow first contentful paint on product pages.
  • Checkout flow had friction and unclear trust cues.

Case studies & outcomes

Retailer A — PDP refresh

30% lift in add-to-cart after product page prioritisation and simplified variant selection.

Retailer B — Checkout optimisation

18% decrease in abandonment by reducing steps and clarifying shipping costs early.

Marketplace C — Mobile overhaul

Faster load and clearer CTAs produced a 22% uplift in mobile conversion.

Streamlined hero area, prominent price and savings, reorganised related products. Implementation included image density reduction and single-file CSS bundle — improved LCP by 0.7s.

Consolidated address entry, added progress indicator, and persisted cart between sessions. We introduced clearer error states and inline validation to reduce form friction.
